Stayed for a night as part of a group trip, and I was pleased with the convenience of parking right outside our room. The space was clean and warm, and the beds were quite decent. I appreciated the breakfast grab-and-go options, especially the muffins and yogurt. The coffee machine in the foyer was a great touch, offering various beverages any time we wanted. Overall, a good place to rest during our travels.

Not the Best Experience, But Potential!

We encountered significant maintenance issues during our stay, including broken ice machines and a closed pool. The staff tried their best to assist, but improvements are needed. Prioritize a room away from renovations. The continental breakfast did offer a decent variety despite the challenges.

The reasons I’m conflicted

Comfortable beds and large rooms with efficient AC made our stay relaxing! ! The pool was a great feature, attracting many guests.

The cleanliness left much to be desired, especially in the bathroom where some areas needed attention.

Staying at this hotel was a pleasant surprise! The best part is that the cruises to the beautiful Thousand Islands depart just minutes from the hotel. With two small kids, we really appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the friendly staff who made our visit enjoyable.

i really enjoyed my stay at howard johnson. it’s well located, close to boldt island and the 1000 islands. the shower pressure was great, and the washroom was super clean. breakfast was cheap, but the coffee was surprisingly good, which was a nice start to my day.

Just a decent option for short visits in Gananoque, great for the money. The air conditioning was effective during the hot spell, keeping us comfortable at night. If you're traveling with kids, make sure to check out the local attractions nearby.

Had a great stay in the Queen Room, Non-Smoking! The room was spacious with big windows that let in tons of light. The bed was super comfy, not too soft, which was a nice change. Also loved that the room had a microwave and fridge, perfect for keeping drinks cold. AC worked really well too. Just wish the pool had more space for everyone if it got busy.

It was just a strong match for exploring town in Gananoque with good value considering price it charged. The bathroom door in my room stuck a bit, but the staff was friendly and attentive to fix it quickly. Check the alarms to see if they’re working before bedtime.
